Spotify offers Apple Watch users who use the Spotify Premium plan the ability to download music and podcasts directly to their Apple Watch and play them offline.
It also handles downloaded music playlists, albums and podcasts via Apple Siri, including “Hey Siri, play my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify.” You can play them directly through such a command.
Thus, Spotify points out that it is no longer necessary to carry your mobile phone to listen to music.
During a recent Google I / O event, they announced that they would be extending this feature to Google Wear OS as well.
The feature was released yesterday (21/05/2020) via the AppStore and Spotify further announced that it will be available to all Spotify users worldwide within the next few weeks.
