An engineering student manages to install Windows 11 on a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL mobile phone

Microsoft has recently released the latest version of their operating system, Windows 11, and has now officially released a preview version of it.

You can already see how many people around the world have installed and tested this preview version on computers around the world, and now a student has been able to install this version of Windows 11 on a Windows Phone.

Gustave Monce, an engineering student, has installed the Windows 11 version on a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL mobile phone, and has posted a video on the Internet showing how it works best on a particular mobile phone.

While not a groundbreaking contribution to the genre, it’s interesting to note that the 5.7-inch display also adapts to Windows 11, and the entire desktop operating system works well on such a device.

It is reported that the camera, which is a normal feature of this mobile phone running Windows 11, does not work, in some cases the calls and SMS facilities do not work and the battery life ends very quickly.


The project was started about 5 years ago and is a closed-source software for the Windows operating system. That there is a group of about 15 people.

The Lumia 950 XL was one of the first devices to hit the market with Windows 1o Mobile Edition, and Microsoft continued to support it until it abandoned the Windows 10 Mobile platform.
