Many phone manufacturers began removing the Inbox Charging Adapter for their flagship smartphone early last year. Apple did not provide an In Box Charging Adapter with their iPhone 12 Series, Samsung did not provide an In Box Charging Adapter with the S21 Series, and Xiaomi did not provide an In Box Charging Adapter with their Mi 11 Series. It has been reported that Google is preparing to release Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices without an In Box Charging Adapter.
It is expected that the Pixel 6 Series, which will be released later this year, will include only the Charging Cable without an In Box Charging Adapter. Google has further stated that since many people already have a USB Type C Charging Adapter, providing a Charging Adapter with a new smartphone is no longer an essential feature.
Google Pixel 5a 5G will be the last pixel device released by Google with an In Box Charging Adapter.
