Apple Working on iPhone 5G Modem :Apple is set to further strengthen its relationship with its chipset supplier TSMC and launch their own iPhone 5G Modem in 2023.
According to a report on the NikkeiAsia website, this is the first modem to be manufactured by Apple based on TSMC’s 4nm process. They also add their own Radio Frequency and Milimeter Wave components to this modem. With this move, Qualcomm will end the supply of 5G modems for Apple devices.
This not only allows Apple to save on Qualcomm costs, but also gives it even more control over its hardware integration capabilities to increase efficiency.
