Xiaomi officially unveiled the Xiaomi 12 Smartphone Lineup in Beijing, China yesterday (28).
Available in three variants, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are the flagship phones. Xaiomi has introduced the Xiaomi 12X phone model to give consumers a range of budget range models.
Flagship Performance
Leading the Xiaomi 12 Smartphone Lineup, both the Xaiomi 12 and 12 Pro models are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset ever released. The Budget Range Xiaomi 12X uses the Snapdragon 870 chipset previously powered by the Poco F3.
Designed with Armv9 architecture design in mind, Xaiomi has been able to improve GPU performance by 30% and Energy Efficiency by 25% with graphic rendering over the previous chip set. Both the models are equipped with LPDDR5 RAM which is capable of transferring data up to 6400Mbps.
Industry-Leading Display
The Xaiomi 12 Smartphone Lineup is designed to compete with other smartphone companies. Both the Xaiomi 12 and 12 Pro are DisplayMate with the highest-ever Display Performance A + rating.
Featuring a 6.28-inch flexible OLED screen, the Xaiomi 12 comes with a 2400 × 1080 screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Featuring a 6.73-inch second-generation power-efficient 2K display, the Xaiomi 12 Pro comes with a number of features, including HDR viewing via Dolby Vision.
Triple Camera Setup
The Xaiomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X models with a triple camera setup feature a 50 MP Main Cam, a 13 MP Ultrawide Lens and a Telephoto Lens. Both the phones have the ability to record 8K videos up to 24fps. It also has a 32MP Front Camera (Selfie Camera).
The Xaiomi 12 Pro, the giant in the Xaiomi 12 Smarphone Lineup, has a Sony IMX707 50MP Main Camera, a 13MP Ultra-wide Camera Lens and a Triple Camera Set with a 5MP Telephoto Lens. However, Xiaomi has made advanced camera software improvements in all three models, including Night Mode and Image Stabilization.
